OnTrack™ has extensive experience exchanging data with client systems for time & attendance, property management, point-of-sale, catering, back office and business intelligence. OnTrack’s engineering team is highly adept at exchanging data through the following methods:
Web Services Database commands are sent between application servers and data is transferred without the utilization of file transport. The typical configuration utilizes the APIs from the target system via XML and processes the data accordingly.
FTP A flat file (.txt or .csv) containing data in a specified format is delivered from one server to another server over the internet. Using secure credentials, the sending application logs into a server and places the file into the desired directory. The target system then either recognizes the file arrival or contains a scheduled process that imports the data from the file.
CSV Upload Manual import option in which a user logs into the application using credentials and imports a .csv file through the user interface.
Excel Upload Manual import option in which a user logs into the application using credentials and imports a .xls or .xlsx file through the user interface.
